The Last time Americans were this mad, they were colonists and the government, to which they were tethered, was across the Atlantic, in England, and paid no mind to the “bitching” Americans. Today the government is in Washington, DC. Little else has changed!

Every year I post a pre-Christmas piece on the farce that is Kwanzaa. This year will be no exception. Note, some of the newspaper articles I quote are several years old so some may no longer be online.

The vast majority of human beings, both male and female, have it all wrong. In our haste to absolve ourselves of biblical consequences, we assume that because our names are not Adam and Eve, God could not possibly mean that WE also are sinners.  We couldn’t be, could we? After all, we didn’t eat that darned apple, Adam and Eve did.

There is a culture war raging in America.  It has wreaked havoc in our national psyche since the Summer of Love elevated the ersatz individualism and limousine liberalism of the Boomers from childhood fantasy to national fever-dream.  This is a historically traceable event with vast implications for the future.  He who controls the past shapes the present and creates the future.  If history doesn’t help us live in the here and now what good is it?

CUNY Graduate Center professor David S. Reynolds has an idea. He wants to pardon an American criminal that is a known murderer and fanatic and who led a life that was steadily radicalized by an extreme religious ideology. This domestic terrorist even went so far as to attempt to start a war inside the USA and advocated for American citizens to be killed in their homes for not seeing things his way.
