The Obama administration will make every effort to pass a key piece of pro-union legislation. The bill has a misleading label: The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA). In the interest of truth in advertising, the bill should be called, “The Employee Intimidation Act.“ Why? Because one of the features of the EFCA, should it become law, would be to do away with traditional secret-ballot elections which are now used to determine whether or not employees in an enterprise want to be represented by a union.

I am often guilty of using the term “freedom-loving Americans.“ But I think the question now needs to be asked, Do Americans really cherish freedom anymore? I believe an argument could be made that not many do. In fact, I doubt that most Americans today remotely understand what freedom—as envisioned by our Founding Fathers—even is.

Tax troubles were all the rage for certain folks recently. ABC News screamed in a headline about one fellow that was(1), “America’s Overnight Sensation… Owes $1,200 in Taxes.“  Huffintgon Post was all up in arms(2) over the same story. The San Francisco Chronicle(3) was tsking the fellow for being “concerned about increased taxes - but hasn’t paid his own income taxes.“ The Chicago Tribune(4) chided this figure for being “delinquent on his taxes.“ It was a crime, they all said. An outrage. This is not to even mention the unhinged, screaming mimis of the left blogosphere that dug in like pitbulls to excoriate this notorious tax cheat.

In the greatest of all thefts in American history, GL (“great leader”) Obama and his Democrat-run Congress are operating solely on their own counsel.  The will of the American people - the majority of whom are against this ever-rising soon-to-be over trillion dollar Congressional spending bill (this is anything but a “stimulus package”) - is no longer of any import whatsoever.  A greedy and ever-growing glutinous Congress has decided - in no uncertain terms - that theft of and from the American taxpayer no longer needs to be hidden from them.  Besides, congressional leaders now believe that voters can no longer do anything about everything that is done to them - not for them.  This largest robbery - perhaps in world history - is being perpetrated on US citizens and shoved down their throats.  They are also being told by the Democrat messiah that they’d better not oppose it - or else.  Note:  The laughter in congressional chambers must be rowdy and wild!

As Nancy Pelosi’s trillion dollar grab bag of socialist spending hits a bumpy road in the Senate, Obama hits the panic button in a highly partisan attempt to rally Democrat law makers away on holiday at a swank little Williamsburg, VA spa.
