Ultimately, all recessions and depressions resolve themselves into crises of confidence. The instant, global, 24/7 communications of today make them ever more so. President Obama, in his pursuit of liberal big-government spending, has totally neglected the role of the president of the United States in reversing global panic.

Democrat Progressive Socialists yell and scream about private business executives having private jets, but don’t seem to notice Comrade Pelosi’s constant use of one?

Most of the American people are up in arms about what is going on in Washington, D.C. I have never seen such disgruntlement with one man named Obama and one Congress called the 111th! Blogs, printed on-line opinions, talk radio and who knows who else are buzzing about what this man and this congress has come out as. I never thought I would see anything like this in my life time. A powder keg is about to go off and it won’t be pretty.

...In fourth grade, the earliest grade for which international comparisons are available, American students outperform most other countries in reading, math and science. Fourth-graders score in the 92nd percentile in science, the 58th percentile in math and the 70th percentile in reading, where they beat 26 of 35 countries, including Germany, France and Italy.

As energy costs are artificially inflated business and jobs will disappear in droves.  Everyone, but the Progressive Socialist Elites will thrown into poverty.

For argument’s sake, let’s say that Obama’s plan to save the economy by raising taxes on the most productive segments of our society, creating millions of useless government jobs, and subsidizing windmills and failing companies actually works. In a year or two, the country is experiencing a period of economic growth. The stock market is skyrocketing. Home sales are booming and jobs are plentiful. Will we have more or fewer people on welfare?

While the Obama-led Democrats control the future of the United States of America, the grassroots on the Internet (The Obama Forum) are in the process of turning in “enemies of Obama”, including the parents of children who are Obama supporters.

I warned readers of my syndicated column last summer and fall that the United States does not need, nor want, a Marxist President.

America is certainly headed for very difficult times and from investors to employers to employees and retirees, people of all political stripes are beginning to react to an overbearing federal government that is behaving more like a heavy handed left-wing dictatorship than a representative republic.
