“Extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice… And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue” - Barry Goldwater - A favorite tactic of Communists, liberals and others on the left is using peer pressure-laced name-calling to try and marginalize those with whom they disagree. If they can successfully convince enough people that a particular viewpoint is held only by those on the fringes, as opposed to the mainstream, they believe they can successfully discredit that person as a crackpot.

The Second World War is supposed to have “really” started in 1935, when the Fascists, opposed by the Nazis and virtually all the rest of the world, invaded the Christian Empire of Ethiopia, and conquered it with the aid of Moslem subjects who Mussolini was purporting to liberate under his title “Defender of Islam.” Ethiopia was ultimately “freed” from the rule of Fascists, although it is hard to conceive how this freedom was an improvement on anything. Ethiopia remains one of the worst places in the world.

It was wise to create the law . . . it is dangerous to abrogate it.

Apparently, the Service Employees International Union is worried about the state of California’s budget. The SEIU, one of the nation’s biggest employee unions for state workers, would like Sacramento to know they have a cure for the millions in the red state budget.
